The Basic Rider Course (BRC) is our most popular course. The BRC is designed for most people who have little or no riding experience, and would like to obtain basic riding skills. Learn to ride in a safe, secure environment free from traffic.

MSF Basic Rider Courses nationwide are designed to be ~15 hours total regardless of the schedule configuration. Our weekday classes and the weekend "B" schedule are two days, both 9AM to 6PM.  Our weekend "A" schedule begins on Friday evening at 6PM for a 3-hour, classroom-only session, then picks up again on Saturday morning for the first riding session, finishing at Noon on Sunday. Our one-week evening classes are held in May and June, from 5:30PM to 9:30PM Mon & Tues, and 5:30PM-8:30PM on Wed thru Friday. All of the above courses are held 100% at our conveniently located West Boylston facility, 1 mile north of Worcester.

All full day classes will have a lunch break of 1/2 to 1 hour depending on classroom session progress. Bringing your own lunch, snacks and especially drinks is highly recommended. Each full day class is generally one classroom session (~2.5 to 3 hours), and one riding session (~5 hours).

Central Mass Advantages: our BRC Rider Coaches are highly skilled with an average 8 years experience. In 2007 we passed an astounding 98% of students who finished the course! We also offer AAA-authorized discounts. Most of our training motorcycles are only 1 year old or newer. We guarantee our courses, and you won't suffer registration restrictions or give up rescheduling priveleges to receive our lowest rider course prices.

Students who successfully complete the BRC will receive their Massachusetts motorcycle license mailed to them without having to go take the road test at the RMV. A $15 license endorsement fee must be prepaid to the RMV before your BRC begins to add the "M" endorsement to your existing license.

Training motorcycles are provided for student use at no extra charge. DOT-approved loaner helmets are available to students who have none of their own.

All students must bring the following gear:
Full-finger gloves, over the ankle boots, long-sleeve shirt, long pants (jeans are fine) and eyewear (good-quality sunglasses with sufficient coverage, goggles, or helmet with shield).

All class sessions take place at our main facility at 186 West Boylston Street, West Boylston, MA with one exception: the initial evening classroom of the "M" schedule takes place at Motorsports International.

Students must be ON TIME, attend all classroom and riding sessions, and pass the required evaluations to graduate from this course. Our students' passing rate on the written evaluation is 99.98%. Students who don't pass the riding evaluation on the first try will have an opportunity to retest for a small fee.
