The Experienced Rider Course (ERC) is designed for motorcyclists with at least 3000 miles and 1 year of riding experience. Contrary to popular rumor, you DO NOT need to have taken the BRC as a prerequisite. The Experienced Rider Course is taught over a 1 day, 6-hour class.

Our ERC instructors have an average of 12+ years of experience, much more than the Massachusetts average, yet our price for the ERC is the lowest in Massachusetts. Up to date information on course prices can be found here.

Students who successfully complete the ERC and have a learner's permit will receive their Massachusetts motorcycle license mailed to them without having to go take the road test at the RMV. Taking the Central MA Motorcycle School Experienced Rider Course is a very cost-effective way to get an insurance discount in addition to making you a better rider!

Students bring their own motorcycles for the ERC. Motorcycles must be properly insured, registered and inspected and pass an instructor's pre-ride check. A copy of the pre-ride check can be found here.
